Afternoon Julian Thank you for your vids which are excellent👍👍👍 A query for you please. Have you considered making a video package to guide golfers (especially experienced ones) how to 'unlearn' bad movements in the swing i.e. how to write an 'override program' and install that in the motor cortex. Perhaps difficult for an expert golfer like you to fully appreciate, but believe me it's it's very challenging to override an established motor programme already well embedded An example would be your 6 fundamentals. Understanding and accepting the importance of the six fundamentals is the easy part , but ingraining these in a holistic manner is really where the challenge lies

Besides the release how else can we increase club head speed.

I love using my putter off the green and it is a big help in keeping down my score. I've never thought about this tip, can't wait to try it out, sure does make a lot of sense. Thank you.

Hey Julian. Great video. Not sure why I don’t see this discussed more. I tend to get a little handle draggy and this really helps. This is similar to the front loader drill feel yeah? Getting the club head to pass the hands. Basically trying to do it right from the top

As a 67 year old senior, I switched to graphite 12 years ago. It has made big difference in my game. Plus there are so many options to get fitted for graphite.

Hi there, I followed you in the early days when you were with Brian Sparks and I lost track at you. I enjoy watching your videos very much but I noticed now that you don’t use your left foot as much as you used to or raise. It is something that you’re trying, I kinda like the other way, reminds me of Bobby Jones and Sam Sneed. I apologize for this being so long, but I also have a very bad back and I’m trying to raise my left hand and I always seem to lose my temple. I used to play the convention for years and it hurts my back too much, so I’m trying to swing more like caddies swing they used to Dickie

Hi Julian & Jo, i'm back! The xxio graphite shafted clubs have made such a difference, the vibration through the shaft is far, far less. Great investment for a senior golfer.

Anyone who has had elbow tendonitis would be well served to consider graphite shafts.

Hi Julian and Jo, another relevant and useful video. TBH, I differ in my view. I am 14 HCap, and use TaylorMade irons with stiff shafts and, although I am not a particularly long hitter, I love the "feel" of steel versus graphite. I have tried graphite irons but I find,for me, they are not as accurate. And I can shape a draw easier,imo. But I will keep graphite in mind. I guess its what Im used to. Thank you for the shout out, if it was me you were mentioning. I plank for a minute each day and find it very helpful. I also use a bullworker daily and I can achieve the same measurements as when I was 54 (I am 64 now). I recently listened to Bob Rotella audiobooks on youtube and find them very helpful. I wonder if this is an area you would give views/instruction on? I am not talking about strategy, but rather confidence,visualisation etc. Anyway, I love your channel and your approach and share it with my friends here in South Africa. I saw American pro Bobby Schaeffer use a heavy rope in exactly the same way. The trick was to keep from beating yourself to death with it😅

As your age gets higher, your clubs weight should get lower.

Hi Julian, do you also use graphilte shaft on you SW and LW? I got it before and I miss my old graphite SW and LW totaly different flow and rhythm

Also, modern graphite shafts can offer much more variety. Want a stiffer flex with a lighter weight? Or the other way round? Steel shafts are really limited in that regard.

You can get shaft lean by a function of timing. And you only need a tiny bit. You don't need to do all this crazy holding off and over rotating. As stated this can cause several physical problems. I tried tried tried like hell to hold it off and lean it..... got nothing but a sore knee, sore back and low ball flight. If you don't have PGA speed you don't need PGA lean.

I noticed you keep your feet pretty square. For those with bad backs, would you recommend flaring out your right foot a bit to make the turn in your backswing easier?

Just to anyone wondering alongside their RUclips videos there in person coaching is very good I had a lesson a few weeks back and we took a large step into sorting some stuff out as a beginner golfer , I’ll definitely be going back again to iron some things out and progress my swing more but there is some top coaching handing out

Struggling with this but trying. Trouble with the transition from turn to the wrist cock. Right now, drastic pulls from the driver to short irons. Feel like too close to the ball at times.

I would recommend seniors switch to hybrids, especially in the long irons. I carry a 3, 4, 5, and 6 hybrid, and I'm considering a 7 hybrid. Hybrids are so versatile and easy to hit, a perfect club for seniors.

Love your swing! The one thing I noticed is that your hips appear to be barely open at impact. I've heard recommendations like 34 degrees open but yours seems much less. Thanks

Does it matter if your wrists are slightly cupped at the top of the backswing as I find I am not flexible enough to get the club far enough back if I try and keep a flat wrist?

I have looked at hundreds of golf videos to find the elusive secret of a good golf swing and I always come back to your videos and I have to admit that they are the best instruction to learn a simple repeatable swing without manoeuvring the body and hands into all kinds of contortionistic positions to get the same result.
